Wine tours in the Rhône and Provence

Bespoke, private tours and wine experiences planned and managed by an English speaking wine expert with all the advantages of a local.

My family have lived in Provence for nearly a decade and I moved from the UK to Suze-la-Rousse with my husband and our growing family in 2023.

These deep roots give me an unparalleled knowledge of the area - its appellations, its producers and (just as importantly!) its restaurants, as well as insight into French culture and local nuances that can be tricky to navigate without someone ‘in the know’.

I give you on-the-ground insight into what’s hot and what’s not, who the most exciting new producers are and which regions are worth seeking out and exploring. My tours and tastings are delivered to the highest international standard and I work with clients from all over the world of all ages, experience levels and group sizes.

Build your own unique adventure.

I work with you to create a completely unique, bespoke experience that meets all your requirements. I can accommodate any group size, experience and knowledge level, price point and style preference. I will work alongside you to plan the perfect day, whether you want to get out into the vineyards or taste from the comfort of your own rental property; visit your favourite wineries or be encouraged to go ‘off the beaten track’ - anything can be arranged. Some ideas of the sorts of tours and local tastings that I can offer are covered below in my price list and truly unique opportunities are also available on request.

Winery visits, cellar tours and tastings

I cover all the Cru appellation of the Southern Rhône (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Tavel, Lirac, Rasteau, Cairanne, Beaumes-de-Venise, Vinsobres and Laudun). I can also take you to lesser known Villages which are often amazing value and are often just as beautiful, if not more! Whether you’re looking for a half or whole day; a serious learning experience or a bit of fun with friends - I can create a bespoke agenda to suit you.

Unforgettable lunches

Whether you would prefer a picnic in the vineyard or a booking at a brilliant French restaurant, I can make the arrangements to ensure you’re well fed during your day of wine tasting. With my husband’s experience managing safari camps in Africa, we can offer you a unique opportunity to dine alongside the vines. Or, if you’re looking for something a little more traditional, I can recommend and book local restaurants - be those bistros or Michelin star fine dining - to help you create the perfect day.

Tastings at your property

If you’re happy enjoying the beauty of the region from the comfort of your rental property then I can gladly come to host a wine tasting from your veranda, garden or kitchen table. This is an ideal activity for those with young children, for multi-generational groups of for those with mobility issues. It’s also the ideal way to really get a grasp on the area’s wine styles before venturing off on your own tasting adventures too. I can provide glassware (so no washing up!) and can work with you to select wines within your budget and for the style of tasting you would like.
